Dr. Trent Twitero is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who brings two decades of Army operating-room experience to the OSI patient. His practice covers general orthopedic surgery with an emphasis on joint replacement, pediatric and adult trauma, and sports injuries. He sees patients across the region — Seguin, New Braunfels, Cuero, Kenedy, and Gonzales — and is on staff at multiple regional hospitals.
He earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of North Dakota and his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. His five-year orthopedic residency was at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2007 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Twitero's Army career took him to Fort Irwin, Fort Hood, Germany, Iraq, and Bosnia. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served as Chief of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Fort Hood before leaving active service in 2010. He is an attending surgeon at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and Resolute Hospital, and on staff at Cuero Regional, Otto Kaiser Memorial, and Gonzales Memorial.
Outside of medicine he's a dedicated husband, father, and car enthusiast.
